Every year, lobster harvesters all over Maine take time away from tending their traps to put their 1000+ HP boats to competitive use. They want to see who is the best of the best! It's a fun time for the lobsterman and women and everyone who attends. These proud boats hit the waves in a high speed dash across the finish line that is very exciting to watch!

Each race is a festive occasion and a great opportunity for those in the business as well as tourists and friends to mix with the people who make Maine's top industry possible. Even the Coast Guard attends to help keep order and insure a safe event. Spirits are high and a splended time is had by all!
